It's not quite clear with some of the midi-tracks provided with the game as well as SY31EXT.EXE where they are derived from. And are The Action, Granite, Crystal Clear, Time (an endless road) and Calm truly original compositions?

If you view the credits, you can see, that the tracks you listed are displayed as original game music. According to this, I suppose that Jürgen Wallner is the original compositor of these, however to verify this, one should contact the original developer of the game. (If you can, please notify me too, as I haven't got any response at my attempt) The rest of the songs are based on existing tracks, and you can find most of them on the internet.

In fact I am the original composer of all tracks specifically made for the orignal Sapphire Yours.
I can confirm that "The Action", "Granite", "Crystal Clear", "Time (an endless road)" and "Calm" are my original compositons. All of these were included in the base package.
Only Solutions" was a MIDI I put together since none was available for that song most people will remember from TRON (performed by Journey).
Back then, when developing the first version of the game, one of our goals was to make Sapphire Yours fit on one single floppy, so we decided to go for MIDI music.
Some of the tracks are actual "live" midi recordings of me playing the original soundtrack on my old Yamaha Keyboard where everything was composed, including some standard rhythm sets with only minimal editing. The credits song of the original game (actually a ballad style reprise of "Granite" which was a hard rock rhythm) is an example for this.

Hey, sorry for the bump but I have a question concerning one of the old midi's in the expansion pack: the one named "Rooms.midi". Given that some of the songs in that pack are adaptations of existing songs, I was wondering if Rooms was based on an existing song or if it was an original composition. If it's the former, I'd like to know what song was the original, since I've had this track stuck in my head for years now.
Thanks in advance!
